How Much Does This Cost?

Our New York JFK Airport Lost and Found Department may charge a small fee to file lost property reports, please only file a lost or found property report with Lostings Airport Lost and Found Department.
 

Where Do I File a Report?

You can directly submit a lost or found report or contact the TSA to file additional information. The form will ask for details of what was lost or found, contact information, airport or airline which the item was lost or found, date the item was lost or found and any additional information.

I left my item(s) on my flight, who should I contact?

Please contact your airline directly or submit a lost item report through your airline carrier. You can view a list of airlines’ contact information here.

I left my item at a TSA security checkpoint, what should I do?

For items left behind at the TSA Passenger Security Check Point,  fill out a TSA Lost and Found Report for assistance in locating and retrieving your property. For items lost or found at non-airline terminals, call 718-751-4001 and speak to Terminal 4 Lost and Found.

Additional lost items in other airport non-terminal locations are dealt with by the Port Authority Police (PAP) Lost and Found Custodian. Items submitted into the PAP Lost and Found are held for up to 30 days at the JFK Police Desk, located within Building 269. Items can be released 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I found something at JFK International Airport, what do I do?

Return the property to the JFK Airport Lost and Found.  Report found items to a third party website, like Lostings.com.  Please provide a detailed description and the property in your possession.  The third-party system is available 24/7 for submitting found items.
